If you have ever thought ‘I need to help people,’ perhaps a vocation in social work is just what you’re looking for. ‘But I don’t really wish to work with abused children,’ you may say. Many students who started thinking they wanted to focus on psychology, sociology, or human services discovered that what they actually required was a social work degree. Many social employees in this field find work in jails, treatment centers, infirmaries, outpatient hospitals and social services agencies. Get rid of that old stereotype now. Sometimes work is wanted to get the customer out of denial and to fact that there’s an obsession issue.
